Getting Married?  Check this Out....

This is a layout for what I typically do at ceremonies:

20-25 minutes prior to ceremony I play a mix of traditional and non traditional instrumental music as guests are arriving.

Seating of the Mothers: Simple Gifts and Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring are nice choices

Bridal Party: Blessed Be Our Gathering (This is an original composition, I like to use it for Bridal Parties because they vary in size) This song can be extended or shortened to fit the entrance of a small group or large one. You can hear a snippet of it on my website, it is the second song (Click here). I play it slower than what you will hear on the web site.

Entrance of Bride: Cannon In D or Trumpet Voluntary are the most popular traditional choices. Here Comes The Sun and A Thousand years are also popular non traditional choices (see video above) I have played everything from Bach to Beatles for this one, whatever you want I am happy to learn :-)

During Ceremony (Communion, Unity Candle etc...) I have a nice instrumental and/or vocal version of "The Lord's Prayer" that is nice during the ceremony. Many times couples want a song that is special here also. Keep in mind that most popular songs are over 3 minutes long and that is an eternity during a ceremony. I usually shorten a song to around 90 seconds to make it fit. Amazing Grace and Hallelujah are wonderful choices also...

Recessional: Water Song (The Recessional or Joyful Departure...See video above for samples) I usually combine some of the music from the ceremony into a medley as a recap also...
